together .
Lighthouse is built around its founders and a small network of practitioners. Service and policy designers, user researchers, behavioural scientists, data specialists and innovation leads.
Brought in for the work that suits them and the way they think.
Innovation is a team sport.
The romantic version of innovation is the lone genius, the flash of inspiration, the idea nobody else could see. Edison. Newton. The visionary.
Fewer people know that Edison actually had a lab packed full of people. They called themselves The Muckers. They worked systematically, tested relentlessly and failed constantly until something worked. The genius was in the conditions and tenacity, not the person.
That is how Lighthouse thinks about innovation. Not a gift. A practice. Built on curiosity: the relentless pursuit of answers through research and evidence, and collaboration: the humility to know you can go fast alone, but you won't get far.

Comfortable in the messy middle.
Our Innovation Consultants have an optimistic view of the world; a genuine belief that problems are solvable and that things can be better than they are.
They are comfortable with ambiguity. The messy middle of a problem, before the answer is clear, is where the real work happens. They don't rush past it or avoid it.
They have a bias for action and take the initiative. When something needs doing, they do it. They are genuinely curious. About people, about systems, about why things are the way they are.
They listen. They take other people's experience and perspective seriously, because the people closest to a problem usually understand it best.
They measure success by progress, not by how the engagement looks on the balance sheet.
Hello Lighthouse.
Bring us a strategy to shape, a service to redesign, a workflow that's creaking, or a product you want built properly. Or just a feeling that something could be better. That's enough to start.
